Q: What is your favorite thing about working at Delaware Tech?

“The classroom! I love my field so much and being there to help aspiring designers and photographers as they start that journey and have their world opened up to the possibilities and technologies is a blast.”

Q: Why was it important for you to work at Delaware Tech?

“I am a first-generation college student and have seen, first hand, how many doors the education from Delaware Tech opens up for graduates. I loved my experience here and wanted to be part of that process.”

Q: What did you do before working at Delaware Tech?

“My wife and I ran a wedding & lifestyle photography business while I worked full time as a web designer. It was great experience and I was fortunate to make many lifelong friends in those arenas.”

Q: Describe your first day at Delaware Tech. What was that experience like?

“My first day working at Delaware Tech was very inviting. Faculty and staff went out of their way to introduce themselves and welcome me to the College and campus. My first day as a student felt the same. I remember my advisor going out their way to pry conversation out of me and help me feel very comfortable in my new (ad)venture.”

Q: What changes have you seen in yourself since you started working here?

“I have become more involved in community outreach and supporting local businesses and organizations through class projects.”

Q: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of the College?

“Running, woodworking, playing guitar, and anything outdoors like the beach or camping.”

Q: Do you have a favorite memory from your time at Delaware Tech thus far?

“I have attended many graduations in my time here, but I remember at one particular ceremony (while I was watching the students turn their tassels to the graduate side and celebrate) I had a rewarding realization: Between my wedding photography career and Delaware Tech, I am afforded the opportunity to be present for the best days of many people’s lives. That felt a little surreal but also incredibly heartwarming.”

Q: What’s something people may not know about you?

“I am an Eagle Scout and use lessons learned in my time as a Boy Scout more frequently than I ever expected.”

Q: What are your future goals?

“I would like to incorporate more motion design into our visual communications department to benefit our students as they go out into the field. Some personal goals include running a marathon, building an acoustic guitar from rough lumber, and learning to play the violin or cello.”
